What stands out so far?

What stands out to you in your learning?
In my humanities class what stands out to me the most is not necessarily what we are learning, but how we are learning it. In this class Randy does not allow it to get boring. He has the talents of keeping us engaged and never allowing the students to stare off into space, or find something more entertaining to do. I also like the fact that we are able to express ourselves in our writing, and it's not strict do this do that rules, with our writing it seems as though we always will be able to state our opinions.
What is working well in this class?
What is working well in this class is the way the things are explained to us, like when Randy explains our writing tips he usually uses metaphors and compares it to other things so we have a better understanding of what we are being taught.
What can you do to build upon your successes?
What I can do to build upon my success is participate a lot in class and take on difficult task and roles, and maybe next semester try out honors, and taking a chance, but not one that is too drastic.
What very specific, concrete & manageable steps can you take to make the most of your opportunities to learn in this class?
Specific steps I can take to make the most of what I learn in this class is to try to engage myself in what we are learning, and focus my attention more on what the teacher is saying and not what everyone around me is talking about.
What are your goals for the next few weeks in class?
My goals for the next few weeks in class are to be more involved an try to stay on task the entire time, also putting my all into my work and make sure it is my absolute best.
